Not many would trust a pirate, especially a pirate of his level, of his calibre, but she’d been around for a while… helping pops out, worming her way into hislife… to hear that she trusted him, well, it brought a smile to his face.
“Want to go flying, yoi?”
That was why he’d asked in the first place, his zoan was in a constant state of flux, solid one minute, fluid the next, he had control of that… haki was a key part of knowing when to change his state of form, but he could make it solid long enough to take her up, to show her the sunset from up above the clouds.
Sure it’d probably make the others tease the fuck out of him for a while but… he wanted to show her that.
Her eyes opened at that offer and a genuine smile found its way to her lips. Flying? Really? She had always loved flying, even if she had just enjoyed it while being a cold blizzard, or snowflakes that wafted before laying, thick and unbroken, on the floor. Monet wasn’t the kind to show affection, not even with a mere hug, but that offering was so wonderful that she could have just hugged Marco out of pure happiness.
— ❝ I would love to.❞
She smiled at him. She couldn’t care less about what the rest of the crew could think. The pirates would tease Marco and the nurses would probably tease Monet afterwards, but she didn’t mind it. Flying was worth so much more than that.
