♥ How he ended up in the hospital will probably forever be a mystery. He had been on a journey with the kid to ensure his safety - to make sure he survived that damn disease but then Doffy found out and.. everything after that was blank.

His body had shut down and only because of that did he survive. Eventually people had found him and Rosinante had been asleep ever since. Because of the injuries he had sustained he had been in a coma for over ten years only living because of the machines in the hospital. Peoples theories are always different how coma patients feel while they are in one.

For Corazón he didn’t except to wake up ever again. He thought he was dreaming or dead already and not that he was sleeping in a hospital bed. Slowly his eyes opened and the light in the white room blinded him for a few seconds and he grumbled softly. Ever since he had destroyed his fare share of hospitals he had come to hate them.

It seemed that someone had been in the room with him because that someone was leaning over him right now and even though his vision was blurred he recognized that shade of hair, he knew exactly who was leaning over him.

“M..-onet..?” it was a soft rasp whisper because his voice wasn’t used in over ten years after all but Rosinante was sure that the nurse in front of him was the woman who had been assigned by Doffy to take care of him for a while.

With great effort he at upright looking towards the green haired female. His vision was getting better now and he could see the shocked look in her eyes. Oh imagine his surprise and shock for even waking up at all. He thought he was dead after all.

Her eyes widened in shock when she recognized the facial features of the man underneath the bandages. For a long time she had wondered if he had face at all, or what had happened to that man. He had heard stories from the other nurses, saying they had found that man more death than alive with several shots all terrible wounds all over his body and, in all honesty, it was surprising to see how the hospital kept that man alive instead of simply letting him die. She had heard that letting him die would have been an act of mercy since his wounds were so terrible.

She hadn’t expected him to be anyone she knew, let alone Rocinante from all the people. For a few seconds she didn’t know how to react, simply thinking she had gone mad, that someone was playing tricks with her mind– but that was real. He was there, and he had just said her name.

Her hand rose, shaking, to be placed gently on his cheek. The scars of his smile were still there, and in his eyes were as intense as they had always been.

The golden hues were invaded by an unwanted but inevitable dampness and for a moment she forgot he had betrayed Doflamingo. In that moment for her there was just relief and happiness.

She didn’t even know what to say. She was speechless, but in her mind there was just a thought. If that was a dream she would kill whoever tried to wake her up from it.
