He had been just like hundreds before him and once again she regretted the decision in favor of taking a drink here instead of a glass of wine and a book in her hotel room. Her facade was calm, but the curt sarcastic replies as well as the sharp cadence in her voice were a clear warning. Or they would have, to anyone who had a slightly higher intelligence than her current ‘companion’. Robin was just about to give the guy a put-down he wouldn’t forget for days, when the woman appeared. She barely caught a glimpse of the beautiful face before their lips met.
In the first moment she was surprised, then a spark of curiousity made her play along. You didn’t get to kiss beautiful strangers everyday.
“Hello beautiful. You know I would wait for you no matter how long.”
“This ‘gentleman’ was just about to leave.”
Her smile was so threatening even that dullhead wouldn’t misunderstand
The guy finally took the hint and left them, but of course that was far from over. Monet could feel many eyes staring at them. After all, two pretty ladies kissing usually had that effect. Deciding to stay a little longer until people lost interest Monet sat beside the beautiful dark haired woman, close enough so people thought they were having an intimate conversation, like any other couple.
Monet let out a small huff and glanced at the guy sitting on the other side of the bar. She hoped he didn’t come back to be honest.
Her eyes quickly returned to the woman before her.
— ❝ He left finally, gosh.
I’m sorry I kissed you, but that idiot didn’t seem willing to leave anytime soon.❞
She felt that guy still looking at them. Ugh, how annoying.
— ❝ Are you waiting for someone? Because I can stay until your date comes.❞
Just so that dickhead didn’t come back to bother her.
