Rocinante hates his brother’s ideal.

He’s a monster, true. When they were publicly tortured, tied on the wall, shot by arrows; no single word was spilled out directed t’ their poor family. He was a selfish bastard, the most egoistic person in the world who saw human as a trash. Yes, they were treated as a trash of the social trash and that’s what Doffy’s excuse t’ take a revenge. Justified? Then why was their father blamed for all?

Oh, and look on Caesar, how they’re perfect combo who are pleased t’ throw their subordinates as martyr. Tho’ the mad scientist was more an asshole who fool ‘em all like garbage. At least, Doffy treated ‘em as family—family of evil.

Yeah, he’ll never understand this. He’s never blended with Donquixote Pirate’s solidarity. And that he could predict, the main reason Doffy asked him t’ eat Ope Ope no Mi was no other than t’ sacrifice himself t’ give the elder one immortality. So, how could he not full rage when he finally heard from Doffy’s damn mouth that he’d educate Law, who ate the fruit, t’ take Corazon’s place—for the seat and for sacrificing?

Why do these people—this woman—happily for granted t’ give their life t’ him? Was it also part of Doffy’s successful shitty education? To magnetize with his devil charisma so people would gladly follow him even t’ hell?

Punk Hazard’s lab was destroyed as Law blow up SAD with Vergo in it. But Rocinante quickly blocked himself so he wouldn’t meet that man, he indeed didn’t wanna see the face of the first Corazon and his brother’s closest friend since they’re both kid. That’s why he came near t’ this woman he never encountered before. Sure she must’ve been recruited after he died.

And like a death’s gift for their meeting, snow was falling…

It seemed like if an eternity had passed, but it had only been a few hours. On the hard ground of the facily her corpse laid, being slowly covered by snow that wasn’t her doing. The blood had become small icy fractals and her golden eyes that always shone like if there was fire in them were void now, staring blankly at the rubble and not seeing anything anymore.

It was unbelievably weird to be able to see herself like that, but on some level, it was fascinating. Monet would have stared longer, but she was called by a voice that had on her the same effect as Doflamingo’s, if not worse, and thus she had to leave. Where? Monet had done her fair share of evil since she joined the Donquixote Crew, so she definitely wasn’t expecting to end up there, in the clouds she loved so much, with wings that were different from the ones that she had her corpse now, but they were beautiful all the same.

For a while she wandered around, still wondering how come that she had become an angel, but she wouldn’t probably find her answers that easily, so for now she would just explore the surroundings and, also, her skills. Or perhaps the lack of them.

It took all of her undivided attention to be able to make it snow again, and she was so focused that she didn’t notice the tall form approaching. If she had Monet would have probably be shocked since the frame of the man approaching was awfully similar to Doflamingo’s. Only when the other was inside of her field of view she stopped what she was doing for her golden gaze to fell upon him.

It only took for her a few seconds to recognize him. She had joined the crew after his death, but she had seen an awful lot pictures of him, and also she heard lots of stories. She would have liked to ignore him but he was the only one around, and also she didn’t want to begin her stay in that place being unpolite.

— ❝ hello..❞

Her voice was low, and strangely soft for being that the first time she used it after dying.

Even if the situation was weird per ce Monet couldn’t help but to feel relieved to an extent. If Donquixote Rocinante was there after what he had done that meant God was much more forgiving than what she had expected–

or that the both of them were in hell.
