“—Thrillers” Law was quick to respond, they’d been one of his favourite genres before everything had changed, before Chay… he used to love sitting in his living room, in his big chair that Chay’s room had now claimed for his reading time, the only time he’d sit down and stay sat down was in that chair.
So Law had given it too him.
“And… maybe the odd mystery“ his mind hadn’t had a good work out in years, Mysteries, Thrillers, just the prospect of trying to work something out before reading the ending was exciting to him, had him wandering over to the Mystery section just to peruse ”do you have any good mysteries?“ he asked, head turning just to glance over his shoulder to the greenette.
Almost instantly after he’d asked however, a rather loud crash sounded from the floor below them, and Law really didnt need to wrack his brain to figure out where it’d come from.
“Chay…"
That noise startled her and she quickly ran downstairs, to almost froze at the sight of Chay buried down of a lot of books, under the fallen shelve. Luckily it hadn’t done any domino effect and injured the kid further. By the crying she knew Chay was alright, scared and possibly hurt, yes, but alive. Those shelves were so heavy that they could have easily killed him.
— ❝ Chay?! Are you hurt?! Don’t move okay? We’ll get you out of there.❞
Her heart was beating like crazy as she removed the books on top of Chay, but his arm was trapped between the shelves in a weird angle. It was obviously broken , and if the other shelve gave up Chay would be crushed to death most likely.
— ❝ You lift the shelve and I get him out of there.❞
The shelve was too heavy for her to lift it, and someone had to help the kid to move, since she doubted the pain would allow him to move at that moment.
